Anthony David Gonzalez, born February 27, 1976, is an ex-American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL), for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the greatest tight ends of all time. He holds the NFL's record for receiving yards as well as receptions as a tightener. Additionally, he ranks third overall in receptions. Gonzalez was a part of the first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He was also a member the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Gonzalez retired in 2013, is an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Before that, he was at CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also was awarded six All-Pros. Gonzalez is known for his stamina and uncommon mistakes. He was a regular for 272 regular season games and lost only two fumbles over 1,327 plays. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame In the year 2019.
